Queers Against Kremlin works to bridge the knowledge gap on russian imperialism among English-speaking queer/activist communities through educational materials and events.
The world we envision requires a true internationalism which confronts all empires, including both U.S. and russia. Our zine distro and website strive to consolidate various resources on issues that intersect with that mission.
Additionally, we support queer and trans people inside Ukraine with various aid, including hormones for trans defenders.
Queers Against Kremlin was founded in January 2022 by two friends living in both Ukraine and on Turtle Island (the U.S.) to confront the harmful disinformation rapidly spreading about russia's imminent invasion. Others who share our values have joined us in these efforts along the way.
While we originally disseminated materials on social media, we have since divested from algorithms controlled by billionaires. Our offline activities have included organizing fundraisers, film screenings, and book readings, setting up tables at Pride festivals, conferences, and zine fests, as well as volunteering with Queer organizations in Ukraine.
